The beautiful Villa Balbianello located on the promontory Lavedo at Lenno, has been chosen as location in many famous films.

Famous actors like George Clooney, have chosen Lake Como to spend relaxing holidays, away from the stress of Hollywood. Some years ago Clooney discovered Lake Como and was so impressed by the beauty of the lake and the surrounding mountains that he bought a villa, Villa Oleandra, in the town Laglio, 20 km south of Menaggio. He is often there during the summer between the shooting of one film and the other. The town people of Laglio have become used to seeing George jogging through the streets of Laglio or sipping a drink at the local bar.
